Sports Week 2026 ⚽

This week has seen the culmination of our sporting year with our annual House Sports Week 2026. Year groups competed on different days this week, taking part in sporting events in their houses to see who would come out on top to be declared the House Champion.

We added a new event this year, the 400m House Run, which was an absolute hit! Each house ran a 400m lap of the track, as one, to earn points for the house. The quicker you ran, the more points you got. Those that were super competitive ran it as fast as they could, but just even completing the lap, whether it was walking or running, meant that every student could achieve valuable points for their house. This brought the students together to work hard, support each other, and really showed incredible community and team spirit between our students.

This was followed by our volleyball and rounders event, and finished off with our finale of the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay, and popular tug of war. The battles were fierce. The energy was incredible. The dedication, resilience and teamwork shown by our students was off the scale and was such a positive week.

Despite this there always has to be a winner,

 Year 7 – Durham

Year 8 – York

Year 9 – Durham

Year 10 – Canterbury.

However, once we combine all the scores, who has become overall House Champions? You will find out on Monday!
