Our expert senior leadership team are always setting new standards. Guiding students to grow and prosper.

I have been fortunate to enjoy a varied and rewarding career. After leaving school, I entered the business world, first selling print and then running my own IT consultancy. I later trained for the Methodist ministry and moved to the Isle of Wight, where I served as minister for four churches in the Sandown Bay area.

After five years in full-time ministry, I felt called into education and trained as a Religious Studies teacher. Over the next decade at Cowes High School, I held several leadership roles, including Head of Social and Religious Studies, Assistant Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form, and ultimately Deputy Headteacher.

In 2011, I moved to Ashford, Kent, to join The John Wallis Church of England Academy as Vice Principal (Pastoral). Then, in December 2015, I was honoured to be appointed Headteacher of Holy Trinity School.

It has been an immense privilege to serve HTS as Headteacher — and now Executive Headteacher — for more than nine years. During this time, the school has seen many changes and developments, but one thing has remained constant: my commitment to ensuring that HTS is a community where students, staff, and families can flourish.

Outside of work, my husband and I love spending time with our four children and their families — especially our first grandchild, born a year ago. We are incredibly proud of each of them, and time together always brings us immeasurable joy. We also enjoy travelling, with a particular love of Italy, and a special fondness for Lake Como.

My Christian faith, which has been central to my life since my late teens, continues to inspire and sustain me. It is this faith that drives my passion to give my best in all that I do.

I spent 16 years in Croydon leading one of the largest History and RS Departments in the country, establishing and leading a large Sixth Form, and finally leading Key Stage 3 before moving onto Deputy Headship at HTS. In my role as Deputy I have lead on almost every role possible at HTS since September 2014.

In my current role, as Head of School, I both lead the school operationally on a daily basis and deputise for Rev. Millwood whenever she requires it. My day-to-day role still focuses on Quality Assurance, ensuring that teaching and learning remain, at the very least, typically good and watching over the many aspects that sit behind this key measure. The current role is much more significant than this and I am kept busy focusing on a multitude of issues ranging from student needs to staffing HR needs.

I used to be an elite Basketball Coach coaching within the England Girls’ Development Programme, competing across Europe and coaching in the State of Oregon. I live in Purley with my beautiful wife and our three children, all of whom are students themselves, either within the Croydon education system or the world of Higher Education.
My children are as passionate about sport as I am. We will watch the Harlequins if it is Rugby, London Pulse if it is Netball or Aston Villa if it is football. Villa are undoubtedly the major passion and we watch a number of games live, both home and away every season. In those final few quiet moments, I play computer games or paint to relax. UTV!

I have been teaching for 24 years. Most of my teaching experience has been at a church school in Croydon, Archbishop Tenison’ CE High School. I trained to teach Physical Education. I was first a teacher of PE and then Head of a very successful PE department. The staff teams I led were hugely proud of the high levels of sporting participation, the outstanding performances and also the excellent academic outcomes within our subject. I have most recently taught Geography and have fallen in love with the subject. After 13 years of senior leadership that have included leading data and reporting, leading teaching and most recently safeguarding and discipline I was most excited to join the Holy Trinity staff team as Deputy Headteacher in September 2023.

At Holy Trinity we have been busy developing the leadership, systems and practice of many whole school areas. In particular, safeguarding, behaviour and culture, SEND and our internal alternative provision. There are so many wonderful young people that we serve in this church school. The students deserve to have the capacity to learn, make progress and see and engage with all the opportunities within our educational setting and beyond.

Outside of school I have always participated in sports and stayed fit and healthy by running and attending various fitness classes. I am a Crystal Palace fan (full time now they have won the FA cup!) and enjoy following all sports. I love being outdoors and exploring beautiful parts of the country with my friends and family. I am most happy walking along a stunning coastal path with my family in search for an ice cream or swimming in the sea being hit by waves or lost in the countryside with a map running with my friends.

I have been involved in teaching for the last 30+ years in different educational settings. My career began in the TEFL world, working in a small school in Greece and then for a large international TEFL organisation in the UK. I taught English as a foreign language for examinations and business English also. I held management positions in Brighton and London, directing teaching and learning. Following this, I transferred into further education, working in Brighton at a large FE college, helping to diversify their international courses and oversee teacher training for TEFL.

My secondary experience began over 20 years ago, teaching English in a large comprehensive school in West Sussex where I was leader for A level English and latterly head of department and part of the SLT. I have also worked closely with the University of Sussex on their PGCE programme, delivering sessions on English and mentoring trainee teachers. I have also delivered training for the NPQ with the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership here at Holy Trinity. My responsibilities include continuing professional development for our staff, in pursuit of providing the best education and training for our community.

I love teaching English and passionately believe that books and stories can transform lives and bring people together. Working with young people is a joy as their insights and ideas are valuable, eye opening and interesting.

My family and I live in Lewes and I am a keen cook and enjoy trying out recipes for family and friends. Unsurprisingly, I enjoy reading and listening to books.

I joined Holy Trinity in the year 2000 as Head of PE. After nine years in this post, I took on the role of Head of York House, which I fulfilled for a further three years, before joining the Senior Leadership Team as Head of the Sixth Form.

In my current role, I am Director of Inclusion within the school, whilst working closely with the Pastoral Leadership Team. On a daily basis, I can be found in the Learning Hub.

I love all sports and spend most of my time watching my two sons play sport as well as looking after the school dog Teddy.

My passion for education led me to complete the TeachFirst Leadership Development Program—a transformative experience that ignited my commitment to making a meaningful impact on students’ lives. Before joining Holy Trinity, I served as the Assistant Year Leader at St Leonard’s Academy in Hastings. This role provided me with invaluable insights into student support and holistic growth.

My journey with Holy Trinity School began in 2019 when I became the Subject Leader for Geography. I have always had a deep affection for this subject, as it allows me to foster a sense of wonder about the world in our students.

One of my passions is creating learning experiences through field trips. I’ve been fortunate to lead numerous field trips, including exciting overseas adventures. Recently, I had the privilege of organizing a trip to the Bay of Naples, where 40 HTS students embarked on an unforgettable journey to climb Mount Vesuvius.

In 2023, I was promoted to the role of Assistant Headteacher of Raising Standards. In this capacity, my focus remains steadfast: ensuring that each and every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Every student’s journey is unique, and I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that nurtures their growth and development.

On a personal note, I have a love for basketball that’s grounded in teamwork, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence. And yes, you’ll often find me passionately belting out Taylor Swift lyrics—I’m an avid fan!

I am deeply honored to be a part of the Holy Trinity School community, and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.

I began my teaching career in a grammar school in South-East London in 2009 as a Psychology teacher and moved to a large local comprehensive school in 2013 as Head of Psychology and Sociology. I have been Assistant Principal and Head of Sixth Form since 2015. As a Psychology and Sociology teacher I have been privileged to have taught Sixth Form students the whole of my career.

As Head of a Sixth Form of over 400 students, I have seen our results improve over time and the number of students going to university increase. I am also delighted that several students have gone on to study at Oxford or Cambridge during my time in post. However, I am just as proud of every student’s destination, whether that is going to university, beginning an apprenticeship or entering employment.

I am a passionate believer in lifelong learning, and want studying in the Sixth Form at Holy Trinity to inspire and prepare your son/daughter for the rest of their lives. I would like to thank Mr Green for his hard work and leaving the Sixth Form in excellent shape, but I am looking forward to working with students to improve it even further. This will mean excellent teaching, a diverse range of enrichment opportunities, high quality support and guidance and fantastic outcomes leading to life changing destinations.

I lived in Wolverhampton during my childhood amongst a close and supportive family. I moved to West Sussex to join Holy Trinity School in June 2002 after completing my Teacher Training at Thomas Telford School.

Holy Trinity has been a part of my life since that point, and I have been fortunate to have worked with many inspiring and dedicated members of staff as well as the fantastic students and supportive parents who make up our community. I began in the PE department and was able to experience the role of a School Sports Coordinator working with local Primary Schools before gaining my first pastoral role as a Deputy Head of House. I returned to PE as the Head of Department for several years overseeing changes to exam courses and assessment as well as introducing new activities before becoming a Year Leader predominantly working in Key Stage 4. I am currently seconded into the position of Assistant Headteacher, Pastoral where I currently lead the Pastoral Leadership Team which has been a great challenge but one I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Away from school I have a growing family of four children along with my Wife all whom I am very proud of as they continue to grow and develop. I love my time with them playing sport, reading, playing games and just being together. I have always been very active, and sport has always played an important part in my life whether watching, coaching or taking part whenever I can and in a variety of activities.

My teaching journey began in South-East London, where I stepped into pastoral leadership early in my career as Deputy Head of Year. This role sparked a deep passion for student wellbeing and development, which grew further when I became Head of Year the following year. Leading a full year group gave me the opportunity to support 360 students through transition to secondary school and each of the key stages of their education, helping them become confident, resilient, and successful—both academically and personally.

In 2019, I moved to West Sussex and led in a curriculum leadership role as Head of History and Sociology. These positions allowed me to shape engaging and inclusive curriculums that supported a wide range of learners and brought classroom content to life in creative and meaningful ways.

Joining Holy Trinity in 2023 as Leader of Year 11 was an exciting next step, offering a chance to become part of a close-knit school community and pastoral network. After supporting Year 11 through to their final exams, I was proud to lead the Year 6 transition, building strong relationships with primary schools and families to ensure a smooth and positive start for our newest students. As Leader of Year 7, it has been a privilege to watch our students grow into a united and thriving year group, each bringing their own identity to enrich the Holy Trinity community.

Currently, I am leading the Internal Alternative Provision, developing a supportive academic and holistic curriculum, and environment where all students can flourish and access the best possible pathways for their futures.

Outside of school, I’m a passionate Tottenham Hotspur supporter and a huge music fan—Adele and Amy Winehouse are always on my playlist!

I moved to Crawley about 25 years ago, and I am proud to call Crawley my home. Having originally worked in Scotland and in three other schools in West Sussex, Holy Trinity has truly become my home from home!
