On Thursday 6th November, half of Year 8 visited the Bhaktivedanta Hindu Temple in Hertfordshire.  We attended a short service and then had a tour of the gardens and greenhouses. 

The students were also taken on a short oxen and cart ride and were given the opportunity to dress up in some of their religious outfits like Sarees.  See below for photos.

The estate pictured here was donated by the late George Harrison, formerly of The Beatles. You can also see the shrines with the main deities, as well as the traditional oxen and cart — each ox can weigh up to one tonne and carry loads of up to two tonnes.

The beautiful gardens you see here represent peace, prosperity, and a deep connection with nature.
