Remembrance Day 2025

On Wednesday 12th November, The Holy Trinity School came together to observe Remembrance Day. In keeping with tradition, our Year 7s sang the song Remember, while students in uniformed services performed a fitting procession and raised the flag, and ably assisted Mr Bradley with the laying of the wreath. This is the first year we have tried live-streaming the event to classrooms, and it was a wonderful success.

Students across the school were able to engage in a unique way, with access to parts of the service they may not have experienced in the past.

In the build-up to the service, students sold poppies and other Remembrance Day memorabilia, and Mr Cook reminded us in our Collective Worship how, in such a diverse school with so many different lived experiences, we can authentically engage with the sacrifices made so long ago.

All in all, it was a fitting tribute and a wonderful reminder of the power of community!
