Teacher of Computer Science
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our
outstanding teaching team. You are likely to teach students from year 7 to 13. You would not
be expected to teach every course we offer, allowing you to focus on specific courses and
become a specialist in the areas which interest you. We have a comprehensive set of schemes
of work, but with the flexibility to adapt to develop further. We are looking for a team player
who will help us to develop and shape the next phase of our journey to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons to students in Years 7-13, adhering to the
national curriculum and exam specifications. - Inspire students to problem solve and create creative solutions to complex problems.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their
personal and academic goals. - Foster a classroom environment based on mutual respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities or
pastoral support.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge of Computer Science, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level.
The ability to teach at A Level would also be beneficial. - A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student progress and
achievement. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Christian ethos and values.
