Admissions Consultation

Please see the documents below relating to the consultation process for amendments to Holy Trinity C of E Secondary School’s Oversubscription Criteria for admissions from 2026.
We are running the consultation process with other interested partied from 1 October 2025 until 12 November 2025.
Below is a list of the proposed changes:
- Removal of the Deanery allocation of places for students when ranking. The school will no longer be assigning 40% of its places to Deanery Places. The school currently assigns 96% of its places to local community-based students due to the decline in applications from the Deanery Category.
- Removing the reference to Staff Applications from part of the Compelling Social, psychological or medical grounds category 5.
- Creating a new Category for Staff applications at level 6.
- Due to the new staff category, moving all the existing categories from 6 to 11 down to 7 to 12, thereby creating a new Category 12 for all other applications.
- Moving the definitions from the beginning of the Admission Arrangements and Oversubscription Criteria document to Appendix 1 at the end.
