The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School

SIAMS

Section 48 of the 2005 Education Act required inspection, separate to OFSTED, of all schools which have a religious designation.  SIAMS stands for The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools. It is the Church of England and Methodist Church’s outworking of the requirements of section 48.  Inspections happen every 5 years though COVID has delayed this cycle.

The aim of a SIAMS Inspection is to ask one key question: ‘How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?”
